Your books tell you what happened. We help you understand what to do next.

Most business owners can tell you how much revenue their company generates.

Fewer can confidently explain which jobs are producing the strongest margins, how much revenue is required to cover overhead, or whether the business can afford its next hire.

Those answers shouldn’t require guesswork.

At AM Financial Solutions, we connect accurate financial records with meaningful reporting, cash flow planning, and strategic financial guidance so you can make decisions with greater confidence.

Understand your profitability

Revenue tells you how much business you’re doing. Profitability tells you how well you’re doing it.

We help you understand the financial performance behind your jobs, services, and operations so you can identify where margins are strong and where they may need attention.

Plan your cash flow

A profitable business can still struggle to meet its financial obligations.

We help you look ahead at upcoming expenses, expected collections, and cash requirements so you’re better prepared for the decisions ahead.

Make better business decisions

Should you hire another employee? Purchase equipment? Increase prices? Expand into another market?

We help you evaluate important decisions using financial information instead of assumptions.

Let’s talk about your numbers

Built around how contractors get paid.

Project deposits, progress billing, change orders, labor costs, and seasonal swings all shape your numbers. So does the gap between paying for materials and payroll and collecting from customers. We build your books and reports around those realities.

Accurate financial records

The foundation every decision depends on.

Monthly bookkeeping
Transactions categorized in a chart of accounts set up for contracting work.
Reconciliations
Bank and credit card accounts reconciled each month.
Monthly statements
A profit and loss statement and balance sheet you can rely on.

Bookkeeping for contractors

Clearer profit and cash visibility

See what’s making money and what’s coming next.

Job-profitability reporting
Gross margin by job for an agreed scope of projects, so you can compare work types and spot problem jobs.
Cash outlook
A monthly look at upcoming cash needs, including payroll, material orders and slow seasons.
Receivables and payables review
What customers owe you and what you owe vendors, reviewed together each month.

Better business decisions

Financial information turned into a plan.

Budget and forecast
An annual budget, budget-to-actual review, and a rolling financial forecast.
Decision analysis
Pricing, hiring and major-purchase questions worked through with the numbers.
Accountability
Agreed KPIs, defined action priorities, and follow-up between meetings.

Starting prices apply to defined scopes of work. Your proposal reflects transaction volume, accounts and entities, active jobs, reporting complexity, and the level of support required. Cleanup, onboarding, software subscriptions, and additional financial operations are quoted separately where applicable.

You’ll receive a written scope and price before work begins. Changes in scope are discussed and approved before additional work.

  • Customer invoicing and collections follow-up
  • Advanced construction reporting, including WIP and retainage where scoped

More about financial operations support

A CFO package doesn’t automatically include running payroll, invoicing, collections or bill payment. We’ll agree on exactly what’s included before work begins.

Get started on solid ground.

One-time project services, quoted separately after reviewing your needs.

Onboarding
Connect systems, establish access, organize reporting, and define the monthly workflow.
Cleanup
Reconcile prior periods and correct historical records so ongoing work starts with reliable information.
Implementation
Build or improve job-costing processes, reporting, cash forecasts, and software workflows.

More about cleanup and onboarding

For complicated cleanup work, we may recommend a paid diagnostic before quoting the full project. Its fee and deliverables are agreed in advance.

Molly FeitFounder and financial strategist

Meet the founder

I believe business owners deserve to understand their numbers.

I’m Molly Feit, founder of AM Financial Solutions.

My career in finance began in 2006, and over the past 20 years, my experience has grown from tax preparation into accounting, financial management, business advisory, and fractional CFO services.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked with businesses across multiple industries, helping owners navigate financial challenges, understand profitability, manage cash flow, and make more informed decisions.

One thing I’ve learned is that a business can look incredibly successful from the outside while facing serious financial challenges behind the scenes.

Revenue doesn’t always equal profitability. Growth doesn’t always mean financial stability. And having accurate financial statements doesn’t automatically mean you understand what they’re telling you.

That’s where my passion lies.

I believe financial information should do more than tell you what happened last month. It should help you understand your business and make better decisions about what happens next.

Get to know Molly

Financial guidance built around real business decisions.

Business owners don’t need more financial reports they don’t understand.

They need accurate information, clear explanations, and someone who can help them evaluate what those numbers mean.

At AM Financial Solutions, we focus on building reliable financial information and connecting it to the decisions that shape your business.

Questions owners ask

Don’t see yours? Call or text (763) 245-9327.

Who do you work with?

We specialize in contractors, specialty trades, landscaping and home-service businesses. Fit depends on your business’s complexity and the support you need, not only on revenue.

Where are you located, and do you work outside Minnesota?

Our main Minnesota focus is the Albertville, Monticello, Rogers and Maple Grove area. In Wisconsin we focus on the Siren and Grantsburg area. We work with contractors across Minnesota and Wisconsin, and we also work with businesses nationwide. Most meetings happen virtually.

What’s the difference between the three packages?

Financial Foundation keeps your books accurate and current. Profit & Cash Flow adds job-profitability reporting, a monthly cash outlook and a monthly review. Strategic CFO Partnership adds budgeting, forecasting, KPIs, decision analysis and two strategy meetings a month.

Is bookkeeping included?

Yes. Every package includes monthly bookkeeping and reconciliations. If you already have a bookkeeper and only want advisory support, ask about an advisory-only engagement. These are scoped and quoted individually.

How does job costing work, and what do you need from us?

Job reports compare revenue and direct costs on each job to show its gross margin. They depend on costs being coded to jobs consistently and on timely data from your team and field software. Initial job-costing setup and advanced construction reporting, such as WIP and retainage, are scoped separately.

How often will we meet?

Financial Foundation includes a quarterly financial review. Profit & Cash Flow includes a monthly financial review. Strategic CFO Partnership includes two strategy meetings per month. Custom engagements can include weekly leadership meetings, as agreed in the proposal.

Do you handle payroll, bill payment, invoicing and collections?

These are separate from the core packages and can be added to a custom monthly proposal. Pricing depends on workload and complexity.

My books are behind. Where do we start?

Cleanup reconciles prior periods and corrects historical records before monthly work begins. Onboarding connects your systems and sets up the monthly workflow. Both are quoted separately after we review your needs. For complicated cleanup, we may recommend a paid diagnostic first, with its fee and deliverables agreed in advance.

When are the books closed each month?

On a schedule we agree on in your proposal. Timing depends on receiving complete information, such as statements, receipts and job data.

What happens to pricing if our needs change?

Changes in scope are discussed and approved before any additional work. If your transaction volume, number of jobs or level of support changes, we’ll talk through an updated scope and price with you.

Do you prepare or file taxes?

No. AM Financial is not a CPA firm and doesn’t prepare or file tax returns or provide attest services. We keep your books ready for tax time and can coordinate with your CPA or tax preparer.

How do you handle our documents?

Clients share documents through our secure client portal or a shared Google Drive folder, and some routine items by email, depending on the document. Please don’t send bank account numbers, Social Security numbers or other sensitive details through the website form.

What happens after I submit a request?

You’ll see a confirmation on screen once your request is received. We’ll review your answers and follow up by your preferred contact method to arrange a time for your discovery call.
